Global Electronics Forum (GEF) Unveils the 2013 Programme

This elite meeting of C-level executives from the electronics industry will focus on connectivity from a manufacturing perspective. The event will feature executive-led discussions on topics including: product innovation, design, maximising opportunities in developing economies, supply chain management and connectivity challenges.

Global Electronics Forum spans a number of sectors - consumer electronics, telecoms and automotive -and is the ideal event for manufacturers who now need to be fully aware of industry developments in order to meet the ever more complex demands of the modern consumer.

To this end, GEF is delighted to announce a 2013 speaker faculty, made up of key industry figureheads who will be discussing topic areas including:

An industry overview in facts and figures, led by the esteemed Shawn DuBravac, chief economist of the Consumer Electronics AssociationAn evaluation of the latest trends in consumer buying habits, delivered by Kevin Wang (Yang), head of research electronics supply chain for China at IHS Global Products & Services

Furthermore, additional sessions will assess product design and the impact of rapid innovation, supply chain, cloud, and home connectivity, led by the renowned Kun-Pyo Lee, the EVP / head of the corporate design centre at LG Electronics; the VP of global manufacturing for Alcatel-Lucent, Mr Emanuele Cavallaro; Mr Prakash Sundaresan, CTO and the guru in cloud-related matters from Microsoft Asia-Pacific R&D; and the CEO and chairman of Haier America, Mr Michael Jemal.

And that is only half of what GEF has in store for 2013. Sessions focusing on the automotive industry will be just as exciting and will complement the above, while the consumer electronics and telecoms sessions will also enlist the expertise of Louis Kim, the vice president of the Advanced Platforms Group at Hewlett-Packard; Dr. Detlef Teichner, the CTO and member of the management board at Loewe; the SVP from Samsung and many more.
